KofC #4934 – Announce Family of the Year

In 2021, Our Council began recognizing families that serve as an inspiration to our parish, community, and Counsel by supporting and strengthening Catholic family life.

At the end of the year, each council that participates in the program selects a Family of the Year. The family of the year is one that served as an incredible inspiration to all of us. Our family of the year truly fits this description. This family has been extremely active in all three of our local parishes – Sacred Heart, St Gerard’s and Our Lady Star of the Sea. They have been very active at our Sacred Heart School and Fr Lopez High School. They are well known for helping others in our community and their active involvement with the Knights of Columbus and all our activities.

Sadly, the family and all of us experienced a terrible loss in September with the passing of the father resulting from Covid complications, but that hasn’t affected the resolution of the family to move forward in the way of our Lord.

It is a great honor to present our Family of the Year award to the family of                  Terry &  Barbara Cassidy.
