Online Giving

Online Giving offers families flexible, paperless ways to contribute to Our Catholic Appeal, the offertory, special collections, special collections, parish pledge campaigns, fees, and more. More than 1,300 churches and dioceses use the system, and their donors have given more than $289 million in generous, secure, online gifts.

Today, with more than half of all charitable gifts made online, and an ever-growing number of families managing their personal finances on the Web, Online Giving is no longer just a convenience but a necessity for today’s churches.

Regular Offertory

At Sacred Heart we are extremely thankful for our very generous parishioners. Your weekly offertory contributions whether through Online giving, through checks and envelopes, or by dropping cash in the basket, provide the lifeblood of income for our parish. Through our regular offertory we are able to support over 40 separate ministries and programs in our parish. It all costs money and your weekly or monthly contributions are what allows us to provide all of this – for you.

If you have not already, please consider Online giving, it is incredibly helpful to our parish.

Also, we are a Stewardship Parish, and our parishioners have been asked to consider giving back 10% of their annual income to God in thanksgiving for all their blessings. Thank you for your generosity.

Our Catholic Appeal

Our Catholic Appeal is an annual opportunity for every member of our faith family to share in the pastoral work of Christ by funding the important programs and ministries of the Diocese of Orlando.

This year’s theme for Our Catholic Appeal-Teaching and Living the Light of Christ – recalls our Lord’s own words:

You are the light of the world. Your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify our heavenly Father.

Our Catholic Appeal helps us to fulfill this mission by funding diocesan-wide ministries that bring forth a greater awareness of God’s presence in the world.

Special Diocesan Collections

As followers of Christ, we are called to share our financial resources with others, especially those most in need.  Throughout the year, special needs are placed before the Faithful for their support.

Leaving A Legacy – A Story

A young man was surprised to find his sick and elderly grandfather planting a small peach tree in his backyard. When the young man asked his grandfather why he was planting the tree, the old man replied, “Son, all my life I have eaten the fruit from trees that other people have planted. I figure I have an obligation to make sure there is some fruit around for others to enjoy.”

Wills or Bequest Gifts

Please Consider Sacred Heart Parish in Your Estate Plan.

When considering gifts to a charity in your Will or Trust please remember Sacred Heart Parish. Gifts can be made to the parish in the following manner through your Will or Trust:

• A specific dollar amount

• A percentage of your estate

• A particular asset such as real estate or other valuables

You may also name the parish as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or life insurance policy.

Four Ways to Leave A Legacy

There are four easy ways for you to remember your parish in your will!

  1. A Specific Bequest – You can designate a certain amount of cash or specific assets to the parish
  2. A Residual Bequest – You can plan for the parish to receive all or a portion of your estate after other specific bequests have been distributed
  3. A Percentage Bequest – You can designate a certain percentage of the estate to go to the parish
  4. A Contingent Bequest – You can make the parish the recipient of a bequest if others named in your will are not living at the time of your death

No matter how you decide to remember your parish, a gift from your will accomplishes several key benefits.

• It sends a strong message to your heirs that the Church played an important role in your life.

• It guarantees that your generosity to the Church will be continued even after you are gone.

• It provides important assistance to our parish.

• It may even provide tax benefits for your heirs.

Memorial Bricks & the Father Browne Prayer Garden

A prayer garden built mainly by parishioners in memory of our beloved former pastor, Fr. Francis Browne, C.Ss.R. The garden sits in a peaceful location surrounded by ancient oak trees with colorful flowers. The memorial bricks are laid in the design of the San Damiano cross, and in the middle of the cross sits an earthen color water fountain.

Many parishioners find the prayer garden a peaceful place to pray and experience the presence of God.

Buying a brick in memory of someone who has died is a wonderful way to remember that your loved one is still with you even though you cannot see them.

Altar Bread & Wine, Altar Flowers, Sanctuary Candles

This is a wonderful way to remember your loved ones. During the week, and at all the weekend Masses, your intention will be remembered as the bread and wine you donated become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Another special way to make a donation is to make an offering for flowers for Sunday’s celebration of the Eucharist. Your generosity will help to defray the cost to the parish, and our Worship Space will be greatly enhanced. You can also make an offering for our Sanctuary Light to burn for one week. This is another wonderful way to give thanks for your loved one, and pray that your loved one be with God in heaven, where the light of God’s happiness and peace will always be bright.

Christmas Flowers

During the special season of Christmas, the church uses an abundance of flowers to beautify our church.  To this end, we would like to allow parishioners to provide altar flowers through donations. What a wonderful way to remember your loved ones with flowers placed around the altar during the holy season of the Incarnation of Our Savior. All donations will bring honor to God through the beauty of his creation.
