If you are interested in deepening your understanding of our Catholic Mass, this is an ideal experience for you.  In his video-based study  A Biblical Walk Through the Mass,  Dr. Edward Sri explores the roots of the words and gestures we  experience at Mass and explains their profound significance. This fascinating tour of the Mass will renew your faith and deepen your love for and devotion to the Holy Eucharist.

The study will be held at St. Gerard’s beginning Wednesday, October 6—November 10 from 10:00 am—11:30 pm.  Register after Mass at St. Gerard or register at the Sacred Heart Office. The cost is $20 per person.  We have scholarship funds available to pay for the materials if you would like to participate but cannot now afford to do so.

If you are interested in registering through the mail, please contact Ellen Graf at nellefarg60@gmail.com or call 386-689-7828.  We can send a Registration Form to you.

This program is a product of Ascension Press. If you are interested in the content but cannot attend in person, you can participate virtually by visiting Ascensionpress.com. The element of group discussion will be the component you will miss while going through the study online.

Our Catholic Appeal

Our Catholic Appeal, an annual opportunity to support the ministries of our diocese. During this unprecedented time, when so much has been and remains uncertain, your unwavering faith has demonstrated your continuing dedication to your own journey of discipleship as well as our Holy Catholic Church. Thanks to your gifts, the Diocese of Orlando is able to provide resources and services to our parish and to every Catholic parish and school in Central Florida, even in the midst of these unprecedented times. Some examples include educating 22 Seminarians in Formation, enriching over 58,000 adults and children in faith formation and sacramental preparation and supporting more than 75,000 people with food, housing, healthcare, and adoption services.

I thank all of you who have given to Our Catholic Appeal in past years. I thank you for your faithful response. We understand that each of us has been affected by the circumstances of the past year so please know that we are praying for you, and we are here to support you however we can. I simply ask that you join us in prayer and unity.
