100th Year Fatima Anniversary Rosary Rally
It was so awesome to see Sacred Heart and St. Gerard parishioners united in prayer like one big family headed by Fr. Tom and Fr. Aldrin. The Knights of Columbus members standing there like our big brothers providing strength and security, while CCW and St. Vincent de Paul members like our sisters & brothers always around to serve. The Legionaries, Marian Prayer Group, and other Liturgical Ministries leading us spiritually in song and prayers. The children with their parents and teachers as they present our petitions at the foot of the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary was a touching sight to behold. The Sacred Heart Choir provided a moving atmosphere with their beautiful rendition of “Ave Maria” as everyone offered a rose to Mother Mary. So heartwarming to see older parishioners who can hardly walk being there to inspire us with their faith and true devotion. Thanks to all for making the 100th year Fatima Anniversary Rosary Rally become a great “parish family” prayerful event!
Blessing of the Animals
Blessing of the Animals—All kinds of animals from the typical—dogs, cats and fish to hamsters and even a goat were brought to Sacred Heart Friday October 6th to celebrate Blessing of the Animals. All animals are very much a part of someone’s family, and they want to be a part of the church, just like we all are. The Love we give to a pet, and receive from a pet, can draw us more deeply into the larger circle of life, into the wonder of our common relationship to our Creator. We look forward to seeing all of you next year!
