JOIN US—Every Friday during Lent

FOR OUR EXPANDED LENTEN JOURNEY
at Sacred Heart
The program begins each Friday in Lent with a
Benediction service at 6:45 PM in the Chapel, which will close the normal Friday Adoration period. The Benediction service will be followed by a brief presentation on a Lenten
topic. This, in turn, will conclude with a period of guided meditation. The whole program will last one half hour and will be followed by Stations of the Cross in the main Church. The entire evening will last about an hour.
We cordially invite everyone to spend some time in
reflection, meditation and prayer during this Lenten
Season by attending this program. We hope to see you there for all or part of the program. Thank you for your kind attention and we hope to see you beginning
March 8th, the first Friday of Lent.

CCW – BUNCO PARTY A GREAT SUCESS!!!

The Bunco Party held on January 26, 2019, was a huge success and a good time was had by all! We raised $1,616.00 for Cudas Unhooked, a program for homeless and at risk students at New Smyrna Beach High School. Thanks to all who worked, donated and attended in support of the Cudas.

CELEBRATING 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL

Kindergarten students led by their teacher Miss Meghan Ryan celebrated 100 days of school looking truly advanced in age on Tuesday, January 22nd. The children said that ‘It’s so cool to look old!” Some of them dyed their hair gray, wore curlers and reading glasses while some came with walkers and canes. It was a fun day to celebrate 100 days of school and honor the elderly. Go Eagles!

National Marriage Week

National Marriage Week USA is being celebrated this year from February 7-14 and its primary purpose is to honor the Sacrament of Marriage. We invite interested parishioners to attend Mass on Saturday, February 9 at 4:00 p.m. to receive a special blessing from Fr. Tom Burke and to renew your marriage vows.

Many thanks to all!

Our Liturgy committee wishes to say thank you to all those who joined us on
our journey through Advent walking with Mary. We pray that our program has made a difference on how you will welcome Jesus our savior and we pray that it is only the beginning of our spiritual growth as a faith community. Remember to turn in your surveys if you did not already do so. A big thank you to our pastor, Fr. Tom for his vision, his challenge and his support.  The Liturgy committee

Sing We Now of Christmas!

Join us on Sunday, December 16 at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart Church for an afternoon of musical entertainment brought to you by the Music Ministry of Sacred Heart, Our Lady Star of the Sea and St. Gerard’s. The afternoon features the precious voices of the Sacred Heart and Our Lady Star of the Sea Children’s choir, as well as the masterful sound of the adult choirs from Sacred Heart, Our Lady Star of the Sea and St. Gerard’s.

There is no charge for the event, however, a free will offering will be taken for the benefit of our local St. Vincent de Paul Society, a 501c non-profit organization.
